DMS Seatbelt Detection event is now available for DV6 cameras.
This update introduces a new DMS type event - Seatbelt detection! Now, the DV6 is capable of detecting if a driver is wearing a seatbelt while driving.
RoscoLive Settings Profile
For our Geotab customers, the information below is the same for the MyGeotab add-in.
When viewing the Event Settings tab in a settings profile, you will now see the DMS - Seatbelt event option. This option can be toggled on to enable the DMS - Seatbelt event for that profile and apply to your cameras.
Before enabling DMS - Seatbelt events for your cameras, it is important to ensure the channel 2 is aligned correctly in order to detect DMS - Seatbelt events properly. For more information see this article.
DMS - Seatbelt Event Options
When enabled, the following options will become available for this event:
- Upload Type - Select how you would like this event to be uploaded to RoscoLive. Default is Video/Snapshot.
- Event Voice Prompt - If enabled, when an event of this type is triggered, an audible voice prompt will be heard from the camera. Default is disabled.
- Sensitivity - Controls how sensitive the camera is to triggering this event. Default is Default.
Rosco Installer App
It is very important the channel 2 be positioned correctly on the driver in order to detect the DMS - Seatbelt event. The Rosco Installer app has received an update that accommodates this new position requirement. To read more about this, see this article.
