RoscoLive v2.30.0 Release Notes

Release Notes for v2.30.0 of RoscoLive

Here is what is released in v2.30.0 🎉

✨ New Features

Here are the new features you will find in v2.30.0!

Partner Portal

The first version of RoscoLive's Partner Portal is here! This new portal will be available to all RoscoLive partner users and is a one-stop-shop for administrating and viewing information across multiple customer's companies at once. Partner users will now be taken to the Partner Portal after logging in either through RoscoLive or going to partner.roscolive.com and logging in there. From the portal, you will be able to:

  • View and edit vehicles across all companies at the same time.
  • View events from all companies on one page.
  • View and manage all companies
  • Navigate to any company from the portal into RoscoLive

New Custom Partner User

Partners now have a new user role available for user role creation called the "Custom Partner". This user role is similar to the Partner user role except the permissions for this user can be customized to fit the needs of any business team.

Settings Profile Change History

There is now an option to view Change History for a settings profile. This will display the history of changes made to the profile according to date of changes, what the changes were, and the user that made them.

SD Card Removal Alert

There is now an alert for when the DV6 camera detects there is no SD card present when powered on.

🛠️ Improvements

Here are the improvements we've been working hard on to make your RoscoLive experience that much better!

Settings Profile / Edit Profile Experience

We've given our Setting Profiles and Edit Profile pages a face-lift! When navigating to the Settings tab in the Vehicles page, you will now notice the page is split into two sections.

On the left you will see the list of settings profiles in the company. Not much has changed here, but you may notice the Created At, Last Changed, and See Comments options have disappeared and an arrow has been placed in the settings option button.

To the right of the setting profiles list, if you click on a setting profile (if you haven't already), you will notice a bunch of information appear. This is the profile detail view.

A lot of information is displayed here, but it is helpfully split into clearly labeled sections. At the top left you will see the selected profile's name and if the selected profile happens to be the preferred company profile, you will also see a blue badge with the word "Preferred" next to it.

Below that is the Info section. This is the general information about this profile from how many cameras currently have this profile to when it was last updated.

Next is the Comments section. This is now where comments can be left on the profile. Click Edit to start typing a comment, then just click Save to save it.

The final section is the Profile Settings section and is the largest. There is a toggle button with "DV6" and "DV4" displayed just below the header. This toggle controls what profile information is displayed according to the selected camera, by default this is DV6.

Below this is a list of profile settings and their current setting categorized by the settings tab they exist under when editing the profile.

"Ok great, how do I change my settings now?" - I'm glad you asked!

By now you've probably noticed there is a button at the top-right labeled Actions. If you click that button a drop-down list of options will be revealed. Depending on the profile selected and the permissions of the user, the options available here will differ, but generally you will find the options:

  • Edit - Takes you to the Edit Profile page to make changes to the selected profile.
  • Make Preferred Profile - Make the current selected profile the fleet Preferred profile.
  • Push To Vehicles - Opens the window for you to select which vehicles you would like to apply the selected profile to.
  • See Change History - Opens the window to view the change history of the selected profile
  • Delete - Opens the window for you to begin process of deleting fleet profile.

Click Edit to take you to our new Edit Profile page experience.

First thing to point out is the toggle at the top left of the page with the labels "DV6" and "DV4". This toggle determines which camera settings are displayed for you to change, and by default it is set to "DV6".

Unlike previously, any changes made to a "shared setting" on one camera type will not make the same change to the other camera type. For example, if you disable channel 3 for the DV6 in Video Settings, this will not effect the DV4 channel 3 setting. In order to change the DV4 channel 3 setting, you would first have to click the "DV4" option on the toggle and then make the change.

All of the options have remained the same, except now they are now more clearly labeled, have a short description for what it does, and hide themselves away if not in use.

After making your changes, click on Save just as you would before and continue as normal.

Toggles for Individual Event Audible Notifications for DV6

In place of the all-or-nothing "DMS Alert Voice" and "ADAS Audio Alert" toggles, we've added an individual toggle for audible notifications for each event type individually. When an event is enabled, there will be an additional option for "Event Voice Prompt" or "Event Chime" that allows you to enable or disable audible prompts from the DV6 for that event.
