RoscoLive v2.33.0 Feature Snapshot

Here is what we have coming in v2.33.0!

✨New Features

Wake-up / Sleep Mode

A new operation mode for the DV6 has been released which will allow it to remain connected to RoscoLive, even while powered off! This will allow you to make custom video requests, live stream, and push profile updates to devices and have them send the data or apply the updates in real time without having to wait for them to power back on and connect to RoscoLive.

Wake-up / Sleep mode is by default disabled. To enable this feature for your DV6 cameras, simply enable the option in your camera's Profile Settings and apply the update. After the camera has received the new profile, it will reachable from RoscoLive at all times while it is connected to the network.

See the following guide for a comprehensive look at this new feature: Wake-up / Sleep Mode Feature Guide

Beta Testing for New Camera Features

For those customers who like to be on the cutting edge or get a taste of what is to come, we now have an option for beta testing new camera features for upcoming releases! Any feature marked with the Beta tag means that feature is still in a preview state, but its available for you to try it out on your devices!

This feature is by default turned off for companies, but if you would like to participate please contact RoscoLive technical support and let them know you'd like it enabled! It will then be turned on so you can explore features in Beta preview!

🛠️ Improvements & Updates

Obstruction Detection Event Type

We've upgraded the Obstruction Detection feature for the DV6 from a simple in-cab announcement system to alert the driver of any potential obstructions covering the camera to a full featured event!

You can now set an Obstruction Detection event to upload video and/or snapshots when you edit a Profile from the Settings Profile page. After making the selection to upload video/snapshots, users can see the events appear in the table on the Daily Events page. In addition, users can now enable and subscribe to email/SMS notifications for this event, and even add it to custom reports.

Welcome User Experience & Password Reset

We've made some changes to how new users are introduced to RoscoLive when activating their account.

Once a new user account is made, they will receive an email with a Verify Me button. When this button is clicked it will activate their account and open a new tab in their browser to the Password Creation page.

Here the user will enter their password and confirm it, making sure it conforms to our password requirements.

After saving their new password, they will be logged in where they can begin using RoscoLive!

If at any point they forget their password, they can go through the password recovery steps by clicking Forgot password link from the login page and enter their email address for their account.

They will receive an email similar to this one where they can then click Reset Password and be taken to a page where they can enter a new password.
