RoscoLive v2.34.0 Geotab Add-In Feature Snapshot

A look at whats coming in RoscoLive v2.34.0 for Geotab Add-In

RoscoLive v2.34.0 update is here! 🎉

✨ New Features

User Event Feedback

This new  feature introduces a way for users to leave us feedback on events uploaded to RoscoLive they feel are unhelpful or not valuable. Rosco will continuously monitor this feedback and make adjustments according to the common feedback left by our users to events in order to improve commonly reported issues and improve experience around events in order to add more value.

A 👎 icon will be displayed in the event data when viewing a video or snapshot.

Clicking this icon will open a menu with some options to select from. If none of the options displayed describe what the issue was exactly or if you want to add more details you feel are important, text comments can be optionally left in the text box provided.

After feedback has been submitted, the 👎 icon will change to a red color indicating feedback is stored for this event:

After closing the event video viewer, the event will be filtered from view everywhere events are listed for all users with access to view events. If you wish to see filtered events, open the page filter menu, click Exception Type,  then click to check the Feedback option which will then display events with feedback.

In addition to being filtered from view, flagged events will not count towards driver score.

If for any reason you change your mind and want to remove feedback left on an event, you can do so by opening the event again and clicking the red 👎 icon, a menu will appear asking you to confirm and if you continue, the feedback will be removed from the event and it will be restored to view.

Timezone Abbreviation added to camera On-Screen Display

The timezone for which the camera profile is set for is now available to be displayed alongside the timestamp seen in captured video, snapshots, and live streaming from the camera. By default, this is disabled, but it can be enabled with the new setting available in the Setting Profiles menu.

🛠️ Improvements

Obstruction Detection Now Full Event

The Obstruction Detection feature for the DV6 is now a full event type capable of triggering video & snapshot upload to RoscoLive when detected in addition to email notifications for this event sent out to subscribed users.

Camera Health Page

We're excited to reintroduce the Camera Health page tab on RoscoLive! This tab will report and notify users of potential issues with cameras in their fleet and steps on how to fix those issues.

This concept works on the notify, acknowledge & clear flow where a potential reported issue for a camera will always generate a notification until acknowledged by , after acknowledgement if on next power-on no new errors of that type are reported, then it will be cleared from the board.

For a more comprehensive view of cameras with detected issues, the Camera Health page tab has been added to the Cameras page. The Camera Health tab page will display all devices with detected issues, the number of instances that have been detected, and the state of acknowledgement of the issues present.

23400_geo10

At the top of the page is a Status Definitions button when clicked, a legend for the different states of issues that can occur is displayed - currently there is "WARN" and "ACKN". Click each of the status pills in order to learn more about what they mean.

23400_geo12

The table will display all cameras in the fleet that have issues currently detected, their group assignment, and the detailed status of the specific issues detected.

23400_geo13

The code displayed in the "status pill" in the Status column indicates the specific issue detected. When clicking this pill, a menu will open up describing the nature of the issue and steps to resolve it. After following the steps to resolve the issue have been taken, the issue should be acknowledged by clicking the Acknowledge button. This signals to RoscoLive the issue has been seen and no further notifications should be sent to users about this particular issue. On the next connection to RoscoLive after boot-up, the camera will perform a check to confirm the issue no longer persists - if the issue is no longer detected, this issue will be cleared from this camera - if the issue is still detected, the issue will become unacknowledged and notifications will be sent.

23400_geo14

At RoscoLive, we recognize that due to the complexity of fleet management, vehicles cannot always be readily available for immediate issue resolution and it may take some time for the vehicle to be accessible in order to address the issues at hand. With that understanding, we've built in a "silence notification" tool which silences the notifications for selected issues per camera so that users aren't nagged about issues they are already aware of and are in the process of resolving.

23400_geo15

When an issue type is added to the "silenced" list, until removed from the list, notifications for that issue will not be sent when new instances are detected. After the issue has been resolved and acknowledged, the issue type should be moved out of the silenced list so that users will be notified of any new instances in the future.

"Quarantine" added to event email notifications for quarantined events

The word "Quarantine" has been added to the subject of event notifications that have been sent to quarantine for better clarity.

Removed "Beta" Tag from Driver Score Card

The Driver Score Card in the RoscoLive add-in has moved out of beta! We will still continue to provide continuous improvements and updates for all features in the add-in, including the score card. We always look forward to hearing feedback from our customers, so if there is still anything lacking that we may have overlooked during beta, drop us a line!
