RoscoLive v2.36.0 Geotab Add-In Feature Snapshot
A look at what's to come in RoscoLive v2.36.0 for Geotab add-in
✨New Features
Review Events
We’ve introduced new collaboration tools to make event reviews in RoscoLive smoother and more intuitive for teams.
Note Functionality
Selecting Note opens a window where you can view or update feedback related to the event. This includes:
-
Created By: Displays the name of the person who first created and saved the note. If no notes exist, this will be blank.
-
Last Updated: Shows when the note was last edited. This field also remains blank if no notes are present.
-
Mark as Reviewed: Visible only to users with the appropriate permissions to leave review notes.
List View Updates
- Event table now has the Last Reviewed and Last Reviewed By columns to filter reviewed columns globally.
Expanded Grid View
-
Each snapshot now includes a dropdown drawer that reveals additional event details and associated notes.
-
Clicking the chevron expands the drawer. If a data field has no value, it will simply appear blank.
Snapshot-Only Option for Custom Video Requests
You can now request snapshots instead of full video when submitting a Custom Video request. This feature is idea for quickly reviewing a specific timeframe without downloading the entire clip. Snapshots are faster to upload and use less data. Request a single snapshot or a series for a concise visual summary.
Note: Please update your devices to the latest firmware version 2.8.0 to make use of this feature.
For Snapshot-Only Requests:
-
Duration must be between 5 minutes and 1 hour.
-
All snapshots will be returned as a single event for easier viewing.
-
This feature is Disabled by default. It will remain disabled if your selected vehicle is not using a DV6 device.
-
When you click to view them, you’ll see a multi-snapshot viewer, showing all returned snapshots in one easy-to-navigate modal.
Individual Channel View for VX1 Channel
We’re making it easier to manage and view DUAL-multiplexed camera channels by treating the second cropped view as its own separate video channel.
-
You’ll now see second cropped channel as an individual stream in both event video playback and live view.
-
When exporting video, a ZIP file will include the cropped channel as a separate MP4, making it easier to review or share specific views.
-
If audio is enabled for Channel 3, it will play when viewing that channel and be included in all cropped MP4s during export.
-
Additional Channel Settings option in the Settings Profile lets you enable or change how VX1 multiplexed channels are split.
Custom Channel View Permissions for Event Video & Live Streaming
You can now assign custom user clearances to control access to specific video channels in events and live streaming. security identifiers (AllowViewCh1
, AllowViewCh2
, AllowViewCh3
) let you manage which channels users can view.
- Permissions are enabled by default but can be customized per user.
- Users without access will not see restricted channels—hidden seamlessly from the UI.
🛠️ Improvements
Updated Event Display Panel on the Home Page
Previously, the event display panel was limited to showing only the latest 10 events per day for a selected device. With this update:
-
We've introduced scrolling pagination and a "See More" button.
-
Users can now load additional events for the selected device and date.
-
This provides more complete event history access without overwhelming the interface.
Enhanced Custom Video Request Experience
Allow User to Input Duration
We're adding a Duration field that allows users to specify how long they want the video to be, starting from the selected Start Time.
-
The End Time can now be automatically calculated based on the entered Duration.
Distinguish Driving vs. Parking Mode in Timeline
We’re updating the video timeline to visually differentiate between Driving and Parking Mode footage.
-
This enhancement helps users quickly identify what mode the camera was in during video capture.
